About SiS GO Hydro + Caffeine
SiS GO Hydro + Caffeine builds upon the scientifically based formulation of SiS GO Hydro by ensuring you are effectively hydrated for performance whilst also providing 75 mg of caffeine per tablet. As an effervescent tablet that readily dissolves in plain water, it represents a highly practical approach (simply drop one tablet in your 500 ml water bottle) to ensure that all of your electrolyte, fluid and caffeine requirements are met in its most simple format. The addition of caffeine has been repeatedly shown by sport scientists to improve performance by providing both a physical and mental boost just when we need it. SiS GO Hydro is a practical strategy to ensure hydration without the calories.
Why should I take SiS GO Hydro + Caffeine?
During moderate to intense exercise, we may produce 1-2 liters (L) of sweat (containing fluid and important electrolytes) per hour depending on the environmental conditions. If such fluid losses are not replaced at an appropriate rate, dehydration occurs and performance can be impaired. In a dehydrated state, our body temperature rises, our heart rate increases, we deplete carbohydrate stores quicker and we perceive the exercise to be more intense. In essence, we have to work so much harder just to perform at the same speed or power output and thus, dehydration is considered a major cause of fatigue. SiS GO Hydro therefore meets your sodium requirements in an appropriate amount (0.7 grams per L) and concentration (30 mmol/L) that is scientifically proven to produce superior hydration compared with plain water. Caffeine has been added to SiS GO Hydro because of the many physiological benefits during exercise that can collectively improve performance. Caffeine can increase fat utilization therefore effectively sparing the use of our limited carbohydrate stores for later use during exercise. Caffeine can also have direct effects on the brain by improving reaction times and lowering our perception of effort for a given workload, thus making the exercise now seem easier. Consume 250-500 ml around 1 hour before exercise to ensure you commence exercise with elevated caffeine levels, alternatively you can consume during exercise itself. Traditional guidelines advise a drinking strategy that prevents dehydration equating to > 2% loss in body mass. In practice, this usually equates to 500 ml per hour and depending on the environmental conditions, your thirst will likely determine if your body requires more. Consume a maximum of 4 SiS GO Hydro + Caffeine tablets per day and if aiming to combine hydration and caffeine intake with energy delivery, consume alongside SiS GO Isotonic Gels or GO Energy.
