The patented, mm thick SmartGuard layer on the Schwalbe Marathon Plus Smartguard, when compared to all generic products, has a significant advantage in rolling resistance. Schwalbe has further extended its lead in this updated version. Also in the SmartGuard, Schwalbe now uses a proportion of recycled rubber from old latex products.
The most efficient protection belt there is for bike tires, in other words: flatless. A solid, 5mm thick layer of highly flexible special rubber on the Schwalbe Marathon Plus Smartguard Tire provides permanent protection also in the case of embedded objects. Even thumbtacks are no problem for this tire.
It now lasts much longer before developing unsightly cracks when subjected to use with too low air pressure.

Please note: Bikes and other bulky items cannot be returned using our local returns service (where applicable). Please contact us and we can arrange to collect these from you using our discounted courier rates. There is a fee for all collections, except for faulty products.
Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.
