SUSTAINABILITY

Outdoor, run, and cycling products are increasingly incorporating sustainable technologies, combining performance with environmental friendliness.

Using new techniques and materials, the brands and manufacturers behind these innovations are helping protect the very environment we use their products to explore. Wiggle is proud to be encouraging its partners to deliver both on quality and sustainability, be it with the fabrics they use or the processes they employ. Our sustainability range highlights those brands helping us to enjoy our chosen sports without the impact.

Föhn

Since launching in 2019 the small UK based team behind the scenes have spent years designing and developing sustainable apparel by working closely with bespoke fabric mills who share the same environmental ambition.

From using 100% recycled fabrics in their fleeces, to the wonderfully natural merino wool in their base layers, to 100% recycled nylon shells in their new range of jackets/gilets, Föhn is making steps towards being a completely sustainable brand, with no sign of slowing down.

OSPREY

The Osprey team is focused on becoming the most progressive, transparent and sustainable outdoor hardgoods brand in the world.

From raw materials and chemistry benchmarks, to progressive factory code of conduct agreements and repair programs that extend a product’s end of life, Osprey is looking at every aspect of their business to ensure they leave little trace as possible.

“The avoidance of the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance.”

SUSTAINABILITY; NOUN

DHB

dhb pride themselves on always trying to make the right choices. From developing sportswear that is built to last to the extensive use of bluesign® APPROVED fabrics and natural fibers such as Merino wool, the brand is working hard to understand and lessen their impact on the environment.

In 2021, dhb moved to 100% recyclable packaging – including recycled polybags and fully compostable and biodegradable swing tags. While they can’t claim to be leaders in sustainability, dhb are committed to learning quickly and doing it right.
