This Park Tool bearing press kit is equipped with one bottom bracket bearing remover and two bushings that will assist with the fitting of new bearings (separately sold headset press tool also required to install pressfit bearing/cups). Ideally suited to removing and replacing BB30, PressFit 30 (PF30), 386EVO, BBright and PF121 systems, this pack will help you to get the job done in no time at all.
An up-to-date version of Park Tool's BBT-30.3, this set gives a longer length to work with wider fat bottom bracket shells, making it a fantastic tool to add to any garage or professional bike workshop.
To remove the bearing, the remover is fed through the shell until the flat head goes into the opposite side bearing. Once engaged, the tool's plastic guide will fit into the near-side shell opening to hold the tool steady while you tap the handle end firmly with a hammer, until the bearing pops out. To install new bearings, the bundled bushings (included) are used with a headset press (not included) to quickly and accurately press the bearings into the shell.
