The Junior DBX 5.5 Neck Brace is made with a reinforced polyamide, this stiff structure which is able to dissipate the forces of an impact and protect the neck from injury. The Junior DBX 5.5 is also carefully designed to offer comfort to junior riders, fitting a smaller body while taking into account the fact junior helmets are often almost similar in size to adult helmets - this is the downfall of many rival suspenders. Independent test have proven the brace to effective in preventing injury and offers up to a 47% reduction of risk for a serious neck injury.
The collarbone cutout also helps keep your helmet and neck brace away from your fragile bones during a crash. To the back, the rear Thoracic strut is engineered to snap off before applying excessive pressure to your back. The brace also utilizes Leatt's Alternative Load Path Technology - ALPT® - which sees crash forces directed from your helmet directly through to your body, isolating and protecting your neck from harmful forces.
