From the speed of gravel or XC mountain bike races to mixed-road/off-road adventures, the Empire VR90 Off-Road Shoes won't let you down when it comes to comfort and power transfer. It starts with the one-piece TEIJIN® Samo™ upper, delivering a wonderfully snug fit that won't stretch or sag however much (ab)use the trails mete out. You also get the iconic Empire lace-up design - simple, light, easy to adjust and won't let you down in the backcountry. Finishing off the comfort focus is Giro's SuperNatural Fit footbed, letting you dial in the fit and arch support to your own preference.
The Empire V90s come with a stiff pro-level Easton® EC90 full carbon outsole propelling you forward with maximum efficiency. Inevitably you'll need to hop off the bike and push or carry when you're off-road and here the molded Vibram® rubber tread delivers fabulous traction, letting you scramble across the terrain with ease. For particularly muddy days the sole is compatible with toe spikes too.
Cleat Guidance
These shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use cleats with 2-bolt cleats (SPD standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB. Also suitable for indoor trainers in gyms etc

We will happily refund any item purchased on Wiggle if returned to us within 365 days; excluding Wiggle gift vouchers, nutrition and customised products, except when faulty.
Please note: Bikes and other bulky items cannot be returned using our local returns service (where applicable). Please contact us and we can arrange to collect these from you using our discounted courier rates. There is a fee for all collections, except for faulty products.
Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.
