While the Empire SLX has the traditional lace-up design, don't be fooled, it's packed with the very latest technology. The eye-catching and innovative upper uses ultralight monofilament mesh, reinforced with thermal-welded Teijin® TPU to provide an incredible level of support for your foot, minimal weight, enhanced durability where you need it most and incredible ventilation around the whole foot. This design hits the sweet spot between low weight, support for fluid pedaling and a high degree of breathability for those scorchingly hot days where even the road surface starts to melt.

Then comes the heart of any performance cycling shoe - the outsole. Here you'll find Giro's high-modulus Easton® EC90 SLX2 carbon unit, delivering perfect stiffness-to-weight so you enjoy optimal power transfer to the pedals and minimal flex. While it's not the lightest sole unit Giro make it has the durability to stand up to your daily training and hard riding weekend races. Inside the shoe, the adjustable Super Natural Fit footbed system provides optimal pedaling efficiency with customizable arch support for performance and luxurious comfort.

Cleat Guidance
These Road Shoes are compatible with road bike pedal systems that use cleats with 3-bolt standards, such as: Look Delta and Keo, Shimano SPD-SL, Speedplay Light Action, Zero, X-Series (via 3-hole adapter plate), Campagnolo Pro-Fit, Mavic Zxellium, Time Iclic/Xpresso and Time Impact.

Please note: Bikes and other bulky items cannot be returned using our local returns service (where applicable). Please contact us and we can arrange to collect these from you using our discounted courier rates. There is a fee for all collections, except for faulty products.
Returned goods must be unused and supplied with their original packaging, unless the goods are faulty. Wiggle will pay the return postage costs for any faulty items.
