Specifically engineered for road cycling as well as gravel riding, this chainset is equipped with hollow carbon crank arms, making it more than capable of handling all the abuse from intense training sessions and challenging events. FSA has also kitted out this carbon version with a BB386EVO compatible spindle interface that produces a very lightweight and extremely versatile power meter crankset that's available with a double chaining configuration. Coming complete with Bluetooth connectivity, this model uses its spider-based power sensors to provide the total power output measurement of both legs with left and right leg output analysis.
Ideal for Climbing and Gravel
Whether it’s tackling climbs on gravel, or hitting steep gradients on the road, there are times when using even a compact chainset can leave you wishing you had another gear or two.
Less Weight
The crank spider has been reworked with a 90mm bolt-circle diameter, so the smaller rings can be direct-mounted, similar to one-by systems. This saves weight and improves the stiffness of the chainset.
Versatility
It is very versatile and allows also the rider to stay in the middle of their cassette for longer, improving chainline and thus efficiency.
Now available for download and purchase are the PowerBox Upgrades for the FSA PowerBox giving additional data during the ride and for analyzing your training sessions. Upgrades available are:
Bluetooth (Included): With this upgrade your FSA PowerBox can transmit data via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE or Bluetooth Smart) to your bike computer.
Left/Right-Balance (Included): The L/R balance shows you the percentage each leg is contributing to your total power output. (power left = pressure on the left pedal + pull up on the right pedal; power right = pressure on the right pedal + pull up on the left pedal).
Pedal Smoothness Upgrade (Not Included): Pedal smoothness is an advanced metric for riders who want to optimize their pedaling. It shows you how evenly power is applied throughout the whole 360 degree pedal rotation. FSA PowerBox power meters collect the data for both legs combined. Please note that transmission of this data to your bike computer is only possible via ANT+.
